Meal Plan

It feels good to eat well (and healthy)
This is an example of a daily menu for a clean and sustaining diet.

Are you worried your kids won't eat any of these suggestions? This is were Lacrima's Kitchen will show you hands on activities and strategies that result in healthy meals that the entire family will learn to enjoy.

Growing Healthy Eaters takes time and perseverance. You will be glad you invested in healthy habits from an early age.
Breakfast - Muesli with mixed fruit
1 cup of blueberries
1/2 cup of strawberries
1 cup of Bulgarian Yogurt
1 Tbsp. of Maple Syrup (grade B if possible)

Put the yogurt in a breakfast bowl, mix with maple syrup, and pour the muesli on top and ad the fruit. Mix and enjoy. Tip: Before you start your day, take 20 min. to yourself, breath in the fresh air outdoors, think about your day, say a couple of spiritual affirmations and have a positive attitude.
Say a blessing before breakfast and always wish yourself and others a Bon Appétit!
Soup and Salad
1 cup of Ginger Butternut-Squash Soup
1 cup of green Spring Mix salad topped with apples, cranberries and walnuts
1 cup of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

Growing up in Europe we ate all kinds of soups and stews throughout the year, using local ingredients that were in season. For me it is natural to integrate those recipes into our weekly meals. Even in the summer soup can be very soothing and calming, paired with a good salad you get the benefit of the fresh energy of the greens as well as the grounding effects.
Dinner

Lean meat or chicken, or fish filet
1 cup green beans
1 homemade potato salad
1 fresh spinach

Grill the meat or fish, sauté the beans or steam them for just 3-4 minutes. Serve with homemade potato salad with fresh herbs such as parsley and shallots, garnish with lemon and on a bed of fresh spinach. Wine has many detoxifying benefits, but it is to be consumed with 'intention'. Pairing of wine and dinner is an art and my philosophy is that 'Joie de Vivre' is very important.
Snack

1fruit

This is the fun part. There are so many fruits and even vegetables that can be either eaten raw or made into cool popsicles or thrown into a smoothie. Why not have fun with it and involve your other family members as well. My kids love helping with the juicing, ice cream making and they always end up biting into a fresh piece of fruit while we prep a dish. Make it fun and enjoy the process.
